Incoterms, customs clearance, legal obligations

What does Incoterms mean? It is an abbreviation standing for International commercial terms. Incoterms are standard signs determining the respective rights and duties of sellers and buyers with respect to shipping. In particular, they establish just how far the effective liability of each party is engaged in the event of breakage or theft, and just how far the seller is required to transport the goods. They consist of English abbreviations comprising three letters followed by suspension points.

If the destination country is in the Schengen space, you do not need to pay any customs duties, but checks are always a possibility. This means that you need to check that the documents are in order (https://pro.douane.gouv.fr), and that your goods are not on the list are regulated or prohibited products
